<Anvile> i guess yeah <smits> kewl <Janvitos> hey people, anyone know of a way to extrude a spline and export it to illustrator? <Janvitos> because i heard you can only export in .ai format if you use a spline <Aleah> Would anyone know why my joint from the elbow to the bicep deforms inproperly? I added a buldge gizmo to the bicep vertices..do I have to modify my envelope on the forearm? <Aleah> its like my guy has paper elbows <suurland> Janvitos, when you extrude a spine it's no longer a spline <Varvail> why not remote the exept for him? :P <Varvail> or install exept support on the bots <Varvail> remove i ment :P <format_c> NO NURBS and NO SCALE is missing :P <Dr_Rambo> lol <Dr_Rambo> hey Doc <Dr_Rambo> http://abstractfactory.blogspot.com/2005/10/only-debate-on-intelligent-design-that.html <DocHolidy> hey rambo <Dr_Rambo> http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/10/30/1814201&from=rss <Dr_Rambo> ah to believe over here, down under we are having our educational minister thinking about changing school text to ID now too <Dr_Rambo> lol <Interitus> heh, no booleans <DocHolidy> we adhere to actually modeling here... no scrap or trash holes <narcpt2> heh <Interitus> what about extra unused and unneeded vertices? <DocHolidy> u either no how to model or dont..... those who do dont need nor would ever use booleans.... is pretty simple stuff <shea_> booleans can be useful as long as you take the time to clean up the mess <DocHolidy> nop <DocHolidy> never are <DocHolidy> if u know how to model u can do what u want without ever creating a mess <shea_> i've used them successfully before :] <DocHolidy> it's simply a matter of experience <Janvitos> hey people, anyone know of a way to extrude a spline and export it to illustrator? <Janvitos> because i heard you can only export in .ai format if you use a spline <suurland> I used boolean today, guess I don't know how to model then <shea_> with the same result as splitting & drawing polys <DocHolidy> suur: ur a nurbs guy so hush their ok for u <DocHolidy> lol <shea_> except it was a bit faster <suurland> it was mesh boolean <DocHolidy> thats what they were intended for <DocHolidy> ack <DocHolidy> ok fine <shea_> heh <shea_> :| <DocHolidy> no booleans for me <DocHolidy> :P <shea_> haha no i liked NO BOOLEANS :\ <ThE-wHo> im not a super good 3d artist <ThE-wHo> but honestly <ThE-wHo> if a boolean gets the job done <ThE-wHo> then it gets the job done <ThE-wHo> .... <ThE-wHo> its just another method <shea_> booleans can easily create a mess <shea_> but if you know wtf you're doing then you can fix that <DocHolidy> Ive just never seen a use..... <DocHolidy> I cant think of anything I cant model <DocHolidy> cleanly <ThE-wHo> i can <ThE-wHo> i **** <ThE-wHo> lol <ThE-wHo> i dont pride myself on 3d <ThE-wHo> haha <Interitus> yeah <Interitus> there are lots of things I dont know how to do cleanly <DocHolidy> anyway whad I know I **** too....... I hate 3d <Interitus> you'd probably gasp if you saw my current model <shea_> :[ <Interitus> tho its not really that bad <Interitus> but I know it'll have extra polys <Interitus> as long as I can render it, its all good <DocHolidy> it might just be that I'm primarily a char guy..... and for deformational meshes u must be highly articulate and clean verse non-deformational <Interitus> yeah <Interitus> with characters you have to be careful
