<Meritt> MachinShi: Programming? Yeah, I know it's a good career given the right circumstances. Too many people (both clients and coders) have the same viewpoint as markovich that cheap, fast solutions are the way to go.

<MachinShi> Meritt: it's not always coders who feel that way. i know of many who hate 'cheap, fast' solutions, but clients give them little choice.

<Meritt> MachinShi: I'd just quit if my boss was wanting me just to toss out a solution without enough time to properly develop it. So I do coding as a hobby and can take as long as I want perfecting whatever it is I do. Works out perfectly.
