<ZBandit> 10 years of college, and now I have no interest in the field. Gotta love that equation.

<fatlip> rather than talk about his personal life
<fatlip> and just have us read the book (which i didnt get until this past week, becuase the store "ran out")
<fatlip> its now halfway through the semester

<fatlip> the first half is novell
<fatlip> which i dont know **** about
<fatlip> second half is microsoft, which i do know **** about
<fatlip> so i really needed the first half's book
<ZBandit> I invest all this time and money into my edu. I got certs out the yin-yang. All for what.... To learn how much I hate this **** in the real world.

<ZBandit> all I can say is if you plan on a career, make sure it's not a hobby. Because when you make the mistakes I did, you will end up with NOTHING.

<aslan> fatlip, if i may give you one piece of advise. protect your body you only have one and if it is damaged life can really ****. the reason i say that is 26 nov 1996 i was in a work accident. the left side of my body was trashed, collapsed right lung, etc. i have been home bound since then. i am still in the soon to be 9 yr legal nightmare.

<Hobolihu> I got a winshare, mountet as smbfs. I can read/move/rename/delete, but not create new files in the directory
<Hobolihu> If I do vi test.txt, I can see the .swp file on the windows box. And when I save, the file is on the box for 1 second. then its deleted..
