<anfl> you need to attach a gdb to it whilst its spinning, and find out exactly where its spinning and why.
<anjuta> are there wizards, that could identify the function in question of they look at the coredump ? :)
<anfl> a coredump should be last resort
<anjuta> the admin did gcore before terminating the process last time
<anfl> if it doesnt have debugging symbols it wont help
<anfl> (I dont personally see why youd compile an ircd without them)

<anfl> if you dont have debugging symbols, gdb is just about pointless iirc.
