<hottie--> hey Ta1oN; you helped with a start/run command yesterday.. to run the network connection wizard (create a new connection)
<hottie--> where did you pull that cmd from? i tried searching google for a list//havent found many good links

<hottie--> i know theres a shorter command.. i used it before..
<hottie--> square; if only I had a dollar for every person I wanted to tell that too
<hottie--> guy the other day didnt even know what internet explorer was // internet browser
<hottie--> address bar
<hottie--> couldnt close a window or anything.. yet he phoned in and he was upset that his internet was down :)
<square> heh
<yusaf> I got a good question for you guys
<hottie--> fire away
<yusaf> I have a cable modem hooked up to my PC (which i am using now) and everything is fine. Now when I take my cable out of my pc and plug it into my laptop, shouldn't my laptop be internet accessible? It is not, what do I do? It already has a network card built in.
<yusaf> *im yawning
<hottie--> im not too familar with cable
<hottie--> do you have static ip settings setup on the pc?
<yusaf> dsl, cable, doesn't it work same?
<yusaf> gee, i don't know
<yusaf> i think it detects it automatically?
<square> your cable modem will have a dhcp server on it
<square> so xp should be set to automatic
<hottie--> yep.. if its done automatically.. you need your tcp/ip settings to obtain an ip automatically
<yusaf> i think it is automatic
<yusaf> i see
<hottie--> in my area here all cable users are static
<yusaf> hold on.. let me see if i can find it
<yusaf> yeah, it says Obtain an IP address automatically under my settings
<hottie--> goto the cmd prompt of the lappie
<yusaf> ok
<yusaf> lappie..hehe
<hottie--> and type in ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew
<square> heh
<random173> !unban *!*@ool-45722420.dyn.optonline.net
<EJ> gg
<hottie--> gg ?
<yusaf> ok i did.. the cmd just popped up and out
