<rynz`WORK> something wack happened today to one of our employees. They logged in on their domain account, got a msg it said: profile corrupted. So it said it'll put them in a temp state, and their current login is now C:\documents and settings\TEMP\etc, etc.... when it normally is c:\doc and settings\username, bleh, etc

<bar> Weird, I am having some problems with this windows xp pro system. It's a dell. I do a repair via the install cd, and it goes through the process fine ... but after the Windows XP Pro screen ... it just gives me a black screen and hangs. Any ideas?

<blackdevl> then see that they have access to the HKEY-CURRENT_USER hive for that profile
<blackdevl> so you can repermission HKEY_USERS\(SID) as an admin
