<d14> :))
<spenser> Australia and Ireland are about the only 2 places I want to visit outside the States.
<_joey> Work in Australia? Well, Australia is not big population wise country and finding a job could be challenge
<_joey> Especially in IT :)
<_joey> not a big country population wise ....
<spenser> thats what I heard.
<spenser> I was hoping to get on with Red Hat. They send some people down there from thier Raleigh, NC office here in the US.
<_joey> Linux is not popular here with commerical companies
<spenser> wow, that seems odd.
<_joey> Mainly Sun Solaris or IBM AIX
<_joey> probably some small internet providers
<backblue> _joey: where are you from?
<_joey> you can check out www.jobnet.com.au
<_joey> backblue down under
<Damascene> i wonder why when i use ip nat static statements, lately i have also had to put down the same IP address as a secondary. i never thought about it before but it seems like that's the best way for it to work reliable?
<Damascene> reliably
<Damascene> that's with a rouer proxy arpign for other ips that is

<Sweeper> mlar
<Sweeper> anywhere I can get cisco SIP software without a service agreement?
<d14> bye ;)
<wmandra> sweeper, the smartnet contract is only $6 - $8 us.....
<Sweeper> really?
<Sweeper> per month, orwhat?
<wmandra> per year, i have them on my ip phones
<impetigo> what's SIP software?
<wmandra> impetigo, it's the firmware for the 7900 series ip phones
<backblue> maybe you chould read about voip
<backblue> should
<impetigo> ohh ok
<Sweeper> per phone?
<wmandra> yeah, $6 per phone per year
<wmandra> once you get the smartnet contract you can just d/l the firmware from the cisco website
<azzie> where would one buy it?
<azzie> cdw.com right :)
<azzie> wmandra, part# CON-SNT-CP7940 looks right?
<wmandra> azzie, that sounds right
<azzie> thanks... did not know it is THAT cheap :)
<wmandra> the price will vary a little, list is $8us $9 (everywhere else), but my local cisco reseller gave it to me for $6
<Sweeper> o.O they have to SHIP it?
<Sweeper> can't I just give them money, and they give me a code?
<wmandra> when I got mine, they just emailed me the info
<Sweeper> how long did it take?
<azzie> wmandra, your reseller got a web store? :)
<wmandra> nope
<wmandra> once you get the contract #, just add it to your CCO account info on the cisco site, it does take a couple of days though
<spenser> ugh
<Sam-I-Am> meh
<spenser> one of those days
<spenser> i just have no energy
<Sam-I-Am> heh
<proto> drink RatDrink, the energy beverage, RatDrink, find it in your closest tunnel
<Sam-I-Am> thats what bed is for
<spenser> yeah, didn't get enough of that last night
<spenser> and the football games start in 1 1/2 hours. i need to wake up
<spenser> plus i have to prepare for a cl***
<usn> hi there
<spenser> back atcha
<Sam-I-Am> great justice?
<spenser> super happy fun time voip phone?
<Sam-I-Am> considering how expensive a pair is here, i've considered a voip device that could put dial tone on my home wiring so i can use normal phones
<oelewapperke> better convert that cable into network cabling
<Sam-I-Am> well, i am installing cat5 for everything
<Sam-I-Am> 2 drops per outlet
<Sam-I-Am> i figure i can use one drop for analog phone until we start seeing cat5 phones
<spenser> i found a sweet old analog phone i need to rewire so i can use it.
<oelewapperke> you could use isdn phones
<oelewapperke> and connect them to a cisco 2600
<spenser> It's one of those old style plain black phones with the rotary dial.
<obanta> Or you can get an ATA188 or something similar and wire it into your existing phone wiring.
<obanta> That's basically what I'm doing with TW VoIP, the cable router has an FXS port that they patched into my phone wiring.
<erte> hello to all
<erte> any Quintum/VoIP Expert!
<tmbg--> .
<oelewapperke> you've got a . there
<nesys> hi folks
<nesys> could you help me with a translation rule for cme?
<nesys> I've to convert, for example, '601$' --> '601'
<nesys> in the sip trunk to external sip server
<nesys> anybody help me?
<nesys> rule 1 /\(.*\)\$/ /\1/
<nesys> done :)
<tarantul> nesys: it's easy %)
<nesys> yes :D
<zb> How do I forward arp requests/replys in a 2600?
<oelewapperke> forward ?
<oelewapperke> zb: where/why would you forward them ?
<zb> I have a machine asking for arp on one side of the router and another one that shall reply to them on the other side
<Catfive> zb - http://cisco.com/warp/public/105/5.html
<zb> thanks
