<hagabaka> press D and Tab, it will cycle through the nicknames starting with D. but there may be a limit so that you have to type more than one letter for it to work. it should be somewhere on the website

<kingruedi> xchat ist screwing up the nick completion if there are several users which would match the nick completion. In earlier versions xchat would list possible completions but now (2.4.4) it just takes the first match. That can be very annoying
