<DragonShip> Also, I won another auction ... Unimat DB200 ... one of the old originals when they still made quality machines. No accessories (they're not that hard to find) so it was cheap.

<DragonShip> Trazom, it's the predecessor to the Taig and Sherline lathes which ... Well, some call them minis and some call them micros. In any case, it's more than a lathe, it's also a vertical mill and still can hold its own against current machines even though they came out over 50 years ago.

<DragonShip> Most is. Sherline and Taig are marvelous examples of current production machines that were designed to last. The taig was originally designed for the Aerospace industry. And the Sherline was designed in the 60s (I think - might have been early 70s) by the same guy who designed the Clisby micromachines which are the smallest lathe and vertical mill in the world
