<Cerys> I could remove the network card, then the box would be slightly useless.
<longword> Cerys: What else is in the slots?
<Niteye> i want users to be able to login ftp, but the users dont really exist as a real unix account (virtual users), and all chroot in for example /var/www/<user>/ or something, and very easy to add/remove them (add a chroot line, add a user/p***w line somewhere or similar and create the chroot dir)
<longword> Irc: Gives you a list of all the directories that are checked for commands
<Cerys> longword: theres two PCI slots. 1 tv card and an rtl8139
<Niteye> is that setup possible
<longword> Irc: Commands should be chmod +x
<shiwan> Cerys: *fondles back*
<IrcGenie> longword, ok thanks alot.
<longword> Cerys: I've seen more slots in a laptop
<Fiver> Niteye: yes
<longword> Cerys: With onboard ethernet
<Cerys> longword: its a crappy mini-atx board. Used to have onboard ethernet but I lost the riser.
<longword> Ah.
<longword> Bargain bin replacement motherboard time?
<Niteye> can i make htaccess files invisible to vsftpd?
<Cerys> longword: yep, sorta. I have an identical board which I could set up, but it seems daft.
<longword> It does?
<Cerys> longword: well when one machine would do the job, why have two? I just need to find the riser and my problems are solved :D :p
<Cerys> which I just found. woot!
<themaxxz> grrr
<Gaia^> rrrg
<themaxxz> i'm trying to run 2 copies of swisscenter but they are fighting each other
<Fiver> I thought the swiss were supposed to be neutral
<Cerys> lol
<CeeDeeGee> hI! question: if someone using windows alows someone using Linux to remotely control their computer through vpn, will this give the Linux user oppurtunity to download files withouht the windows user noticing?
<themaxxz> but I dont understand they each have their own ip and database
<themaxxz> and documentroot
<CeeDeeGee> I`m guessing that wasn`t an answer for me? :)
<longword> Cee: That's more of a Windows question, but it does depend on the setup and server configuration
<longword> Cee: But I would guess yess, it would afford the Linux user that opportunity
<Redragon^> themaxxz what do you mean fighting each other?
<themaxxz> ah I think I found the problem
<themaxxz> Redragon^, well if I iniliaze app 1 and then initialize app2, if I go back to app1 everything is 'forgotten'
<Redragon^> under the same domain name by chance, a cookie issue?
<themaxxz> but I think I found the problem, using the same user to connect to the db, let me see if I can fix this
<CeeDeeGee> hmm, thnx long
